You don’t have to be Rihanna in order to become a twitter celebrity

Twitter is the leading short messaging social network in the world. With more than 500 million users worldwide and 50 million tweets each day, the potential for becoming popular through this social media platform cannot be denied.

But how can you get noticed in this digital wilderness of 140 character short tweets? Wouldn’t it be an uphill battle for the ignorant and uninitiated? By following these simple steps, you can become a “celebrity” on Twitter:

  1. Create unique content. You have heard it said, time and time again: Content is The KING!  Post the most original content you can think of and be consistent with it.  In other words, find your niche, stick to a specific “theme” and build it up. For example, you can publish content about cuisine or cinema; or about the funny things that cats or dogs do when left to themselves; or even about your favorite beer. It doesn’t really matter as long as it is cool.  Pick your niche and start.
  2. Publish all the time. Fresh content is always a plus, so don’t hesitate and think a lot. Publish 2, 3, 4 or 10 times a day.
  3. Use #hashtags.  This will allow people to find you easier.  However, don’t overdo them. Too many hashtags is considered spamming and, instead of your post getting views, it will be ignored instead.
  4. Start with our real friends.  Start by telling your family and real friends to follow you. Ask them to promote your account with their friends as well
  5. Have lot of followers. Man is a social being.  People love to follow users who others already follow. The easiest way I found to do this is via Fiverr.com—a cool site where you can have almost anything done for only $5. Just go to this search result for twitter followers, find the vendor you like, send him your twitter user name (@yourname) user name and you will have at least 1000 new followers. I Choose this one – fiverr.com/TwitterFollowers and he did great job in no time.

If you find this interesting, and to help you get started, share your Twitter account with me and I will surely follow you!

I honestly hadn’t thought about tweeting that many times a day, thought it might be too many. Guess I had it wrong, thx for this. Now, (brain wheels are turning) I must change my strategy.

By the way, love the Twitter bird graphic. 🙂
